Three way valves

Three way valves are installed at the point of connection to the bypass section of liner and passed through a total flow is always fluid (flow sprue), ie amount of expenditures through the heat transfer plate and the bypass area. In your current mode of three-way control valve LUX  thermostat provides 50-70% coolant flow through the heat transfer plate, and in the transition regime – is passed through the bypass section, bypassing the heat transfer plate. Three-way valves are used only in a single pipe radiant heating systems.

* According to the working substance used in temperature sensors, LUX  thermostats valves are: liquid in which the valve is used to drive the energy of the expansion of the liquid (eg, toluene, acetone, etc.) For these sensors is characterized by small size and almost linear characteristic. These shortcomings included several high inertia;
* Condensate, which are filled with liquefied natural gas stored at the critical pressure, which means they contain both a liquefied gas, and its pair, the energy of thermal expansion which is used to drive the valve. These sensors can be obtained at their relatively small dimensions high enough pressure force and the low inertia of the non-linear control characteristics;
* Gas-filled, which are filled with some inert gas such as nitrogen. As the temperature increase in the volume, and hence the pressure force is linear. Their drawbacks are the relatively large size and significant impact on the ambient temperature capillary tube, consequently they are not used as remote sensors;
* Phase, in which the valve is used to drive the value of the pressure transmitted through the rubber membrane with an increase in the volume of the substance in the liquid phase. To fill these sensors are used substance melting at room temperature (eg paraffin, wax, and mixtures thereof). Their disadvantage is the volatility of the melting temperature, which can vary from 10 ° C to 30 ° C;
* With a solid filler (thermoplastics, termoreziny, a combination of paraffin wax with metal filings), which has a high coefficient of linear expansion. Their regulating characteristic is almost linear. The disadvantage of these sensors is the large temperature lag due to prolonged radiant heating a large mass of the working substance. The greater the mass of the working substance is needed to create the necessary driving efforts.
