Advantages of Warm Floors

The theory of radiant heating floors is very straightforward. There are tubes placed under the floor and hot water is circulated in these pipes. With this the floor becomes immense radiator of heat and like the sun it transfers the heat to the people and objects of the room. For concrete floors these tubes are implanted in the slabs of concrete and in case of wooden floors these tubes are kept either on top of or under the floor.

There are a lot of advantages of these floors.

Some of these advantages are sighted below.
•    Low cost of operation- if the Radiant Heating Supply are properly engineered they can be very efficient. The traditional hot water heater is not very successful source for heating the water, though is widely used. It is important to use a condensing hot water boiler system. The use of appropriate water heater increases the efficiency up to fifty percent.
•    Comfort- the feet are known as the thermostats of a human body. If you have cold feet you are bound to feel cold and uncomfortable and on the other hand if your feet are warm then you will feel much more relaxed and warm. The floor is usually maintained at a temperature ranging between eighty five to ninety degrees.
•    Decorating Freedom- the tube structures under the floor are not at all visible. Other equipment used for heating the floor like radiators and registers are also not seen anywhere. The surface of the floor also remains smooth and the furniture can be easily placed anywhere. Such Radiant Heating Floors leave us with a lot of decorating options.
•    Flexibility- these Radiant Heating Floors can easily adapt to any sort of changes. It is very easy to change or renovate the floor anytime you want.
•    Quiet- these systems of Radiant Heating Floors is very calm and quiet. It does not make any hissing or pinging sounds. Neither do the blowing fans cause any disturbance.
•    Healthy- the Radiant Heating Floors operates at low temperatures. These low temperatures prevent the air from being dry. There is no problem of dry air as the air from inside the building is not used for incineration. These heating systems help in creating and maintaining a sanitized and healthy environment inside the house.
•    Temperature Control- the Radiant Heating Floors are equipped with different zones under the floor. These zones help to regulate the temperature of different rooms according to the need. Different rooms can have different temperatures. With these heating systems even the basements can be maintained at cozy and comfortable temperatures.

How to tankless water heaters work?

A tankless water heater comes as an easiest option when one expects number of guests to arrive at their place and the best way to soothe their nerves is only with the hot shower. This is the time when one would find, tankless water heater as to be the best option as it serves many people.
This tankless heater has many advantages and one of them is that it provides with the flow of hot water whenever required instead of continuously heating the water stored in the tank. These heaters have already gained popularity in Japan & Europe and also now in United States because of green movement. By using the tankless water heater one can save huge amounts of not only the monthly bills but also the conserving natural gas at the same time.

Before understanding how the tankless water heater operates, one needs to understand the functioning of the standard tank heater. In a standard heater there is a large tank which holds the water and continuously heats the water. In order to supply the hot water whenever it is required, the water is continuously heated in order to maintain the constant temperature. The energy wasted when the water is not utilized is known as standard heat loss however the tankless water heater heats the incoming water only when it is required. For this reason, they are also known as on demand water heaters. The elimination of the standby heat loss is the reason for the tankless systems to be more efficient.

The piping hot water is provided by the tankless water heaters as it utilizes the exchanger which is used to raise the water temperature. The heat exchanger is an instrument that is used to transfer the heat from one source to another source. The heat exchangers are there in air conditioner, car radiator and refrigerator too. The exchanger gets activated from the incoming water flow. So when the hot water tap is turned on, the incoming water flow circulates throughout the activated exchanger which heats the water to the preset temperature.
The tankless water heaters are available in two varieties:

1)    Point of use heaters
2)    Whole House heaters

Point of use systems are small in size and can heat the water either for one or two outlets. Due to their size they can easily fit in a closet or under any cabinet. It also helps in avoiding the water loss and that is due to the lag time. The whole house systems are larger in size, more expensive and can operate more than one outlet.
One can also choose from one of the various models like from natural gas model, electric or propane. It depends upon many factors that which model should be used.
Deciding the tankless water heater depends upon few things like
1)    The amount of water required to be heated at one time
2)    Rise in temperature
3)    Difference between the groundwater and desired output temperature.
The tankless water heaters manufacturers, size their units which depends on the temperature rise requirement for a given flow.
