It is very easy to install inline stop valve along with PVC fittings. The stop valve helps individuals turn on or off the water flow to specific sections. Here is how you can connect the fittings to the stop valve easily.
What You Need?
You need the following items:
- Stop valve
- Cloth rag
- PVC cement
Cleaning
First, you will need to use the cloth rag to thoroughly clean both sides of PVC pipe that is going to connect onto the valve. Make sure to wipe off moisture and dirt until you find the surface clean and dry.
Cement Application
Next, you will need to apply the cement onto the outer edge of one pipe and the inner edge of the stop valve. This allows the PVC elbows to fit into the valve easily.
Slide the stop valve’s end on the pipe and twist an entire 90 degrees in order to distribute evenly the cement and ensure firm grip. Let the glue completely dry for two minutes and then repeat the above two procedures to attach other PVC street elbows to the other portion of the stop valve.
